№001Not a critic’s opinion — a computation. Seven hotels the world’s guests, in 12.9 million reviews, placed first. We don’t sell stars.

A hotel cannot pay for its number. Its number is computed by a fixed method — Rating v3 — applied to everything its guests wrote. Five steps, each with this year’s real figure.
Pulled from every major platform. Chinese, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Russian, Korean and 80 more are translated and read — never ignored.
AI removes spam and one-word noise, flags reviews that say one thing while the stay says another, and re-scores what remains for sentiment.
Every reviewer is weighted by history, volume and account age. Self-praise is discounted. A guest who verifiably stayed outweighs one who did not.
Ranking uses shares and effective sample size, never raw counts. A ~6-month freshness window means the score is about the hotel now.
Guest score blends with verified recognition and service signals. Tier moves need a clear margin; a dramatic fall is always documented.

Only guests, in aggregate, move a hotel up. A medal cannot buy a tier.

A place in FirstSuites cannot be bought — guests decide, and no fee moves the rank.
Some stars can be bought. Ours cannot.
We got tired of paying extraordinary money for ordinary stays — the marble lobby that promised everything and the room that delivered a little less, every time. So we stopped trusting the brochure and built the machine we wished existed: one that reads what real guests actually said, at a scale no critic ever could — nearly 13 million stays, in 90+ languages — and hands down a verdict no hotel’s marketing can spin.
FirstSuites is that verdict. A consumer’s answer to a decade of overpaying for mediocrity.
The register narrows by computation, not by invitation. Every published hotel carries a numbered rank; every tier is browsable and bookable.
Preferred is the shortlist: 251 hotels from which the Seven are drawn each year. Below it, Recommended and Approved carry the same method and the same honesty — a numbered place, computed from guests.
