Seven seats. Reviewed once a year. Never more, never fewer.

The seventh star is conferred, never self-declared. A hotel reaches it only by clearing every apex gate at once — three MICHELIN Keys, Forbes Five-Star, and a place on the World’s 50 Best and/or a MICHELIN three-star kitchen under its own roof — held above a demanding guest-reputation floor. The register is hard-capped at seven and revised in a single annual conferral. Nothing here is bought, and no visit is courted: the judge is intelligence itself, reading a hotel’s entire public record — the criticism as clearly as the praise.

The law that fixes FirstSuites at seven fixes everything beneath it: 7,777 hotels in the guide, 777 of them starred, and every destination on Earth holding exactly the seats its real flow of travellers justifies — computed from arrivals and verified supply, and from nothing else. No opening adds a seat; a hotel joins the register by taking a seat from a hotel that held one. The map, like the grade, cannot be lobbied.
